Any and all things J.R.R. Tolkien (related to the Middle-Earth Universe). Such works as The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Silmarillion[/], [i]The Hobbit, The Lost Tales, and all others pertaining to that most Epic of all works of fantasy fiction in our time. A whole mythology, separate from any others in existence, was made, off of which the eentire genre was/has been revolutionized forever.
Other works I enjoy are of the manga genre (comic books of Japanese origin, utilizing their trademark art style). Of those, I enjoy the following:
-Claymore (Norihiro yagi)
-Trigun (Yashuhiro Nightow)

Ahh, music...if any of you wonder what music inspires/moves me most, look no further than the video link on my profile page. The "larger-than-life" sound of Epic orchestral scores are part of what you might call the "soundtrack of my life."
Artists such as Two Steps From Hell (not Satanic in any way, mind you), Epic Score, and Future World Music, Audiomachine, Brand-X Music, and others like them are some of who you might find on my daily playlists.
Flim/Video Game score composers such as:
-Howard Shore (Lord of the Rings Trilogy: 2001-2003)
-Hans Zimmer (Gladiator: 2000, Pirates of the Caribbean 1-4: 2003, 2006, 2007, 2011 respectively, Batman Begins: 2005, Batman: The Dark Knight: 2008; and many, many other films)
-Steve Jablonsky (Transformers The Movie: 2005, Transfromers: Revenge of the Fallen: 2007, Transformers: Dark of the Moon: 2011)
-Martin O'Donnell (Halo game series)
-James Horner (A Beautiful Mind: 2000, Avatar: 2009, and many, many others)
-The list could continue, but in the interest of time and space, I'll reveal more as I am asked. :)
New Age Solo Piano:
-Jeff Bjorck
-Jon Schmidt
-George Winston
-Enya
-Yet another list.
Almost Anything Opera (*is an operatic singer, himself) ;]
Metal:
-Metallica
-As I Lay Dying
-Pantera
-Slayer
-Slipknot
-Many, many others, this genre having been introduced to me in high school. :D
Other:
Journey Escapes (although this may be a little biased, since I'm a member of this group XD ), whose works include music across different genres, including:
-Epic Orchestral (The Journey: 2009, and our third album, Epic Battles: still in progress)
-New Age Solo Piano (Soulace: 2011)
-Ethnic/World
-Metal (instrumental)
-Whatever may be needed for a score/trailer.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is number One. Nothing that has purported or aspired to rival this Epic project have failed in the attempt.
Pirates of the Caribbean, particularly this most recent installment, has always had a special place in my heart.
Transformers (1 & 2) revives Nostalgic memories and feelings of a carefree childhood full of Legendary Heroes piloting massive robotic war machines into Glorious Victory their foes. Ahh..the sweet memories...
Batman Begins/The Dark Knight have struck a chord of Epic Heroism that will forever live on, particularly in the (score) soundtrack from each.
There are many others; ask about them, and I'll gladly share the others. :D

I create! I'm a creative invdividual, and love to create...things...that can carry the mind away to Realms and Worlds that are otherwise nonexistent!
Utilizing my skills with orchestral music composition, I adore creating Epic themes and orcchestral movements that will be sure to have the Imaginative whisked away to some unforgettable place of Legend and Escapism.
I love to write! If music doesn't tell the story as accurately as ought else, I love to write and create works of literary fiction (mainly fantasy/sci-fi specific) that open the figurative doors to Tales of Majesty and ]Wonder.
Have a creative idea? Share it with me!

A student/aspiring composer at BYU-Idaho. I hope to be able to not only further my knowledge of music there, but to be able to use the skills acquired/improved to not only provide for my future family, but also to make an impact upon others that may influence them for the better.
Epic. The single most outstanding term that best describes my outlook/attitude toward life: all times and seasons, moments and eons, have a Legendary tale to tell. Everyday livable, I seek out those snippets of Epic, which have inspired the greatest works of literary, visual, and performing arts. From those Universal moments spring the desire, within myself, to be not only possessed of courage of the sword, but of the blood also.
The greatest Legend, Whose deeds and Infinite example surpasses all other Heroes of any Journey (real or fictional), Whose Might and Glory are Eternal, is Jesus Christ Himself. Honor be to His Name, forever. The Marvelous, Miraculous Plan of Salvation will surely bring to pass those Epic moments for which I seek.
