Book of Mormon, Bible, Doctrine and Covenents, Pearl of Great Price, Ensign, and of course some of the more fun ones by Gerald lund. I also like the book the Other side of heaven. I do like the redwall series. I also like most sci fi, and I love pioneer stories. I have a collection of those and old hymn books, and collectable old books.

Janice Kapp perry, Enya, Jeff Ball, Jeff Gostompsky (hope I spelled that last name right) Celtic women, Disney, Church hymns, and lots of other music. I love easy listening music. I also enjoy other kinds of music as well, it just depends on the song. I love upbeat music though. I never did go for the depressing, angry, yelling and screaming types. That is just me though, lol.

Ratatouille, Brother Bear, Spirit, Balto, Star wars series (all of them), anything with dinosaurs in it or dragons (as long as they keep it clean) Narnia, Legacy, Johny lingo, Ladyhawk, and many, many others.

Rockhounding, fishing (and yes I do bait my own hook and clean my own fish), cooking (I collect recipies), sewing, arts and crafts, (yes I do paint), and I love gardening and plants.

I am a single mom of two, and am going back to college to finish out my degree. I am more looking for friends right now than relationships, as I have had some pretty bad experiences, and need some time to pull myself together. Honest answer there, with some of the garbage I have been through. I would like to meet some new people though, and have fun, maybe exchange some ideas on different fun things, and just sit down and have some honest to goodness plain regular friends to chat with. I hope to get to know all of you and am glad to be on here. I have a seven year old son, and an nine year old daughter. I love fishing, camping, rockhounding and exploring. I love dragons, artwork, and fine detailed crafted things. I collect coins and odds and ends fun stuff I find out yard saling. (You would have to understand the area I am from to know why that is, very fun stuff shows up there including gemstones and ironwood, etc.) I also like to go to the dances and activities here. I am now the ward singles rep for my area too, so yes I am definately an active member of the church, and if I miss it, usually it is for a very goood reason. (I rarely miss it, as I love my ward!) I have a strong testimony of the gospel, of what it means to truly be a member of the church. I will never leave it in my life, nor deny it. I love the gospel, what it means and what it stands for. I will always love it. If you are looking for someone you can pull away or get to disobey the laws of the church, you are looking at the wrong profile here. I hope you understand, but this is the way my life is, and I will always be a member, true blue through and through. I am one of the only active members in my family, so it was not always easy for staying with it, and I had to learn for myself just what it means to me. I will go into that later. But for now, good to meet you all.

Thank you for visiting my page and for your kind comments. I love the movie "On The Other Side Of Heaven" and I agree that they did a good job with it. I have actually met Elder John H. Groberg of whom the movie is about. I was selected to be a part of a 30 minute audience with him when he visited our Ward in Annapolis a few years ago.

Rockhounding is where you go search for minerals, gems and/or fossils out in the wilderness where they are legally found.

Sorry I misunderstood the word!  LOL  We love rocks, gems, fossils, etc. Used to collect trillibites in Newfoundland and we get ferrystones here in VA --very cool!  There is a state park where they are most often found here.  Mom brings back rocks from everywhere she visits (India, Israel) and where there are different looking minerals.

We should be having the cattle arrive this afternoon, I think.  My kids are becoming full farm kids--they will be milking in a month or two.  The "littles" (my 3 youngest) sell their colored eggs all over the place and love educating others about the breeds that produce certain colored eggs.

I'll be blogging more this summer when school is out for me.

Take care!

Karen

Hi Aurora--

glad you like the blogs.  The "cuppycake" were soooo much fun!  What is roundhounding?

We are adding cattle to our farm--that will be the next blog.  We are getting a breeding pair of Scottish Highland Cattle and the heffer is expecting in a month or so.  Everyone is soooo excited!  :O)

How is school going?  I am losing my mind with papers and projects all due now at the end of the semester...one paper is going to end up 20-25 pages---augh!

Hugs-

Karen

Thanks for saying "hi".  I am a complete and total geneology junkie.  I get so lost in the stories, more than the "data".  Occassionally I need to remind myself I have family to attend to!

hi marelah, thank you for the wonderul message. I am sure you are a chosen one! with all the pains you've gone through perhaps, that is the only thing the Lord could allow to happen to you to make sure He holds you tight while He watches the other little ones. I admire you and with all the pains and trials that i have to go through too and the challenges that are yet to come; i always pray that i would never depart from the faith and influence of the holy spirit that I have now. And i could think the way think; i could handle the worst things in my life the way you do. sometimes for me convenience of everything is a threat to my eternities that's why i am also afraid if the Lord will reward me in this life i  plead to him that He would always help me to be in line with the spirit. I'd love to tell you more about my love life then again i have to send you a private e-mail but it seems that i cannot do it now--but sooner. Thanks you are awsome.

THankyou right back there is a bond that brings us all together that is why we have the temple, it makes a comon thought process that brings us each to one level, if we can only be in the temple with a singleness of heart, so many people do not have this singleness of mind when it come to the church, they let the world get into the equation and that tends to make singleness worldliness thus leaving the soul that is striving to do well with the lord seem as though they are going back wards (I do that alot) but if we truley beleive we will succeed and go through this life accepting that wgich is given us...Leep up the spirit...Thanks for your response.

I wanted to drop a direct line on this to not only thank you for your comment, but to say that if things are rough then it is the times you rely the most on each other.  Maybe if you sit down together and talk about what you can change in life to make it a bit smoother you can work something out.  Times can be rough right now on finances, especially for a family just starting out.  I find that when times are at their worst, then it is time to get on the knees and search for a real answer together.  I hope you can find just the right one for the two of you.  Best of blessings and hang in there,
Maraleh

Amen, my wife and I have been married for 24 years and there have been good time as well as really really bad times, but through it all I have found strength in the Lord, he has never let me down just when I feel I cannot go on he shows me something else that is worse...and I get the message I know the lord watches out for us all even the one ho may not deserve it (but as a whole that is a sin because God judges not man) You really have been through allot of things that have made you who you are today, from reading what you have written you reallyknow who you are and are able to push asside the ideas of the general world and carry on through it all...Working together within the church or christianity as a whole (True CHristianity) be aware you are a very special spirit and your Heavenly Father knows who you are, he would never give you more than you can handle even though it moght seem really close...Be Proud you are who you are...and keep close to the lord...
