Update 11/13: JOY, JOY, JOY! I am getting baptized this Sunday!!! I will be officially LDS!
Thank you to all who have prayed for me and made this day possible. This Thanksgiving Day will be one of total Gratitude!

-----------------------

I am learning about the LDS faith and loving it.
Also, I'm attending a CES Adult class on "Lectures on Faith" in Salt Lake City.

I've read all 10 volumes of "The Work and Glory".

On my birthday, I received my LDS scriptures 'quad'...and I love it!

I love to go to Temple Square and concerts of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I went to the Easter concert last weekend and President Thomas S. Monson and his wife were in attendance. What a surprise Blessing!!!

I would like to be baptized and join the Church!!! Please pray this will somehow be accomplished.

Check out my blog, "Day of Praise" http://dayofpraise.blogspot.com/

6/17/08 Update: I had cancer surgery on 4/28, I received my first Priesthood Blessing from Elders who worked at the hospital before the operation!
I told them I'm not a member of the Church, but I love the Church. One of them was in tears after the annointing and Blessing. Of course the surgery went well and I'm healing nicely. I have to go through radiation therapy though and I'm now in my second week of five weeks. So far, so good. Please keep me in your prayers. I continue to find blessings and comfort in my study of the Scriptures. I am truly blessed!

7/29/08 Update It's been 3 months now since my operation. I feel great! I finished my 27 radiation treatments this month, it wasn't too bad. My next check-up is August 22nd. I'm almost certain that I'm now cancer free! But please keep me in your prayers.
We (Beau and me) have just begun looking to buy our first house! He is 69 and I'm 57, we've always rented til now, so this a BIG change and adventure for us. We are, of course, letting Heavenly Father lead the way.So miracles are assured!
I got BYU-tv yesterday and I'm SO grateful. I had it before and have missed it for about a year now. Also, I'm really looking forward to BYU Football this year.Go Cougars! TRUE BLUE!
I love you all! God Bless!

8/23/08 Update At my check-up yesterday, the Radiologist said he could see no sign of anymore cancer. YEA! Next check-up in 3 months.
BYU Football starts this Saturday!
Whenever it gets near September and "back to school time", I like to start studying something.
This year the Holy Spirit has Guided me to do a study of "Isaiah", both the Prophet and the book!

Hope everything is going ok for you; and extreme congratulations on the baptism!!!! Me and my wife love to attend them whenever possible; last week i was asked to be a baptism witness and then participate in the confirmation. It was wonderfull.  I have been a lifelong member, but only active the last 5 years; and have defintely learned one thing; When we actually live the gospel to the very best of our ability; it does bring many wonderfull and beautiful understandings and blessings.

Thanks for sharing your pictures, thoughts, and experience regarding your recent baptism. Your testimony and desire to share it are great missionary tools and will no doubt be seen as a blessing to others who are looking for additional strength and support with their own testimonies...  Happy Holidays and again thanks for sharing with all of us!

I loved reading your testimony and how strong your faith is.  I can tell I have been touched by the spirit cause I always get teary.  I can't remember the last time I went to chucrh and didn't leave with red eyes, but I love it.

I am so glad you are here, to share with us your remarkable story, you are an inspiration to those such as myself who often takes the gospel for granted.  Thank you so much.
