You must login to see these testimonies.

I am the oldest of four. I enjoy doing the outdoorsey kinds of things...hiking, camping, bonfires, canoeing, road trips, gardening, scrapbooking, going and exploring new places. My family and friends are important to me, I like to spend time with them. The gospel of Jesus Christ plays a very important role in my life. I enjoy playing most sports, and I love to dance.

Dear Buttercup,

My appologies to you.  We were in chat yesterday morning when I asked you a question about where you were from in Canada.  Then I got called away and ended up making a rather ungraceful exit before you even had a chance to answer.  If you're willing to forgive, I'd still like to know what part of Canada you're from.

I have ancestors who were from Canada.  I'm sure some of their descendants still live in the same general area, though the family has lost touch.  There were a couple of families who emmigrated to Prince Edward Island originally, but then their children later moved to Lambton Co., Ontario.  They settled mostly in the area of Moore Township.  A few settled in Kent Co. in the Dover area.  Coming down a generation or two, there were certain family members who eventually married US citizens and settled in upstate New York.  I'm descended from one of those lines.  We currently live in Maryland.

It's been a busy couple of weeks here.  We've had family visiting from both North Carolina and Florida.  The house is a bit of a whirlwind of activity right now.  Yesterday things settled down a little.  My brother took his family to King's Dominion for the day.  They have a water park there along with all the other rides.  Steven, their youngest boy, was telling me all about it this morning.  It was a most exciting day for him.

Take care and have a wonderful day!

Ohh so jealous!! Burney Falls is one of the most beautiful places on earth!! Would hike down to the falls on P-days, or sometimes for lunch. A member showed us a back way into the park so we wouldn't have to pay.. Missionaries are poor, so I think Heavenly Father understood... Hiked Mount Lassen on a P-day..so beautiful there too!! I have wanted to go back, but haven't. Did you take pictures?

Yes, we took some pix.  I can get some up when I get a chance :)  They said Burney Falls was on the list to be closed due to budget issues.  :(  SO sad!
