Dear CDFM,

In response to the question you pose. i find it brave. and the answer is Yes. but it all depends on what you call Pornographic. i admit, i've seen it. most of the time it draws no response outta me. others it's interesting. but i think American Mormon's are too concerned with their own piety and selfish endevours to really see what damage it does.

It's no worse than we make it. we create our own fears and pitfalls, and i think to honestly believe "The Adversary" is using it pit us against God is selfish of man. It's in our nature, just as it is to kill, or to learn. it's the natural man/woman being natural.you really have to ask yourself? is it drawing me further from those i love, and from God?

Because it boils down to the real issue. What's More important?

Being Happy? or being what others what to you to be?

Gays, will be gay. Straights will be straight. does this mean we deny them hapiness?

Yes Pornography is in essence bad. but so is Opium, and most people wouldn't survive surgery without Morphine.so there, You have my answer.

Porn isn't the worst thing though, after all...there's always pride?

Dear CDFM,

You're most welcome!  If there's anything I love, it's the gospel.  It's challenging to live it day by day, but I love it.

You must be newly signed on.  It's fun, isn't it, going to each of the different sites to see what people have posted.  I've very  much enjoyed reading all the testimonies.  Before you know it, your site will look like that, too.

We're enjoying some much needed rain here.  I'm glad of it.  The trees are starting to lose their leaves due to having so little water.  I don't like to see that happen so early.  Fall will be here soon enough.

Well, it's time again to get little Bear out for a walk.  (In his opinion, it's always time to take Bear for a walk.)

Talk to you later.  Have a great day!

Dear CDFM,

I saw the question you posted on the bulletin board about pornography.  In answer to this question, I must sadly answer, yes.  There are members of the church who get caught up in this problem.  Please remember that Lucifer has vowed he will do anything he can to prevent us from ever returning to the presence of our Heavenly Father.  He will use any devise, any means.  While it's true that we have the opportunity to repent when we've transgressed the commandments, this a long and difficult process, especially when dealing with something as sinister as pornography.

The reason pornography is so bad is because it exposes the mind to images that are very difficult to erase.  This is why our church leaders caution us to avoid exposing ourselves to these images.  Once established in the mind, they can continue to re-appear for years, disrupting our spiritual growth.  For example:  Imagine yourself partaking of the sacrament, and suddenly an image of this nature comes into your mind.  It ruins everything.  It's possible for these images to re-appear anywhere, anytime.

People think I'm a bit of a prude because I don't watch "R" rated movies, nor do I watch "PG-13" movies.  When I see those ratings on a film, to me it's a warning that there's something in here the Lord would not want me to see.  I take things even further by screening even the "PG" movies we watch since they are frequently full of language I don't want our family getting used to hearing.  It's all about maintaining our relationship with the Spirit.  I've learned from past experience that the Spirit can be offended away very easily.

I encourage you to be a Daughter of God, not a daughter of men.  A daughter of God follows what the Lord would have her do.  A daughter of men simply goes with the flow of the world.

I didn't mean for this to be a lecture.  I just felt it was most important for you to have an answer to this question.

Stay strong in the gospel.  Hold to the iron rod always and have a great Sabboth!!

PeaceRR
