Hola Elder Jar... it's nice to be friends!

Personally I would go if not a single person ever did allow me in there home. If every door I approached was slammed in my face. This life is about learning. You should still be excited. There is nothing unrealistic about being excited. It is a huge sacrifice and yet so small in comparisson to what Christ did for us. Just think, a few doors slammed in your face or taking every sin from every man and woman upon you? Please, still be excited. If you lose that I think you lose what a mission is all about. Of course be realistic but stay focused on the good. It will make all the differance in the world to your mission.

Yes, if fact I've nearly completed the whole mission application, it just hit me like 2 days ago that serving a mission is a pretty big sacrifice and that I've leaving a lot behind for 2 years just to get doors slammed in my face...but it will be worth the lives that I do touch even if its just one.

Before I was kind of excited but I was just going through the motions and now I have more of a realistic perspective.

Are you looking forward to serving a mission?
