Hey, no problem. Honestly, I don't particularly care for Muskogee. Most of my friends are in Tulsa or my hometown Miami, OK so I'm usually pretty bored. LoL. The only thing I really care about is the ward but I'm only here for the summer then I'm outta here for good! haha

Hello JHM, thank you  for your warm welcome! I like your blogs/writing.  Everyone at one time or the other has had to really work on their testimony over the years. I went through a divorce over 10 years ago and it was difficult. I was inactive for a few months because I was younger and didn't want to go to my old ward. (lousy excuse I know:) But I came to realize the only time I am happy is when I'm in the Church and doing the "basics" (scripture reading, attending sacrament etc.) There are so many "voices" in the world. Some that seem worthwhile but are really dangerous to our tender spirits and emotions. I think you mentioned "new age" interest. I was also interested in some of the music and ideas that appealed to me.  But as I did the research (this is back when I was a journalist) I found it to be just a pale imitation of what we crave~the Holy Ghost.  I used to get really into Hugh Nibley etc. He's great but I realized that reading my scriptures was more important and that some of my questions will simply go unanswered in this life and that they really have no baring on my salvation to know right now anyway~well, I look forward to corresponding with you from time to time, I like your honesty and openness, Best~kittywaymo
