I'm a 44-year-old British university lecturer (roughly equivalent to an assistant professor in the US) in computer science, though my first degree was in engineering, my PhD in semiconductor reliability and I'm also a Chartered Physicist. I'm married to a wonderful lady from Maine USA, and we have two daughters. My family is such an unbelievable blessing that despite my largely protestant/liberal thinking I sometimes find myself fantasizing about the Mormon teaching on marriage being true. Not that I can see myself ever really believing in Temple marriage: For me it's more like what Krister Stendahl (a Swedish theologian and Lutheran bishop) once described as "holy envy".

Welcome to this site Jamie.  I hope you enjoy yourself here and use all this site has to offer.  I’m only a guest here and not LDS.  Many of us would like to learn more about you.  :)  Set up your page so we can see your own unique style and get to know you.  This link might help with that http://www.lds.net/getting-started/  If u have any questions about how to work some of this site, just ask.
