Hi Just_A_Guy
This is Yakie.
I have been thinking about my brief experience wih LDS.net I did respond to your last post at length and with what I thought was with respect and fairness. Even though you had formed a negitive opinion about me and asked a number of personal questions that that were meant to flush me out as some sort of apostate. I thought you meant well. I takes me a long time and effort to post the responses I did. Together with the personal challenges to my character I was wondering why did I even come to a forum for. I certainly didn't get any historical accounts I had intinally requested, and with all the work and time it was taking and the negativity I was getting I was strongly thinking of just forgetting the whole thing. And then I recieved this message below from LDS.net as they deleted my last post.

"It is one thing to have disagreement with a poster. It is quite another to accuse a moderator of using his authority to bully. One is acceptable (within limits) on LDS.net and the other is not. By choosing to attack Just-A-Guy's mod status, instead of the discussion points you have choose to elevate this from a disagreement among two posters to a rule 6 violation. Rule 6 is 6. Posting issues you have with a moderator or administrator anywhere on the site will not be allowed. Please follow the chain of authority if you have any concerns. Any such posts will be removed and the poster will be subject to the consequences of breaking the rules. Therefore by the rules your post will be deleted and you are given your first infraction Per the site rules infractions work like this First infraction will result in a warning and a message from a moderator on what rule was broken. Second infraction will result in a one week suspension followed by a two week moderator post approval Third infraction will result in banned from the site for good. Please take a moment to re-read the site rules that you agreed to follow before joining LDS.net so that you can avoid further issues. on behalf of the LDS.net mod team"

As you can imagine it wasn'y hard for me to make up my mind afer that. I was the victum but I was being punished!!!!

I will share with you one thing befor I go: having thought about you posts I didn't think I made my self clear on one point. My view of a democratic form of Common Consent is not to have the members take over the Church but to allow them to vote with out any fear or concern, to be able to express their feelings and beliefs honestly in their voting without feelin that they might have to justify them to anyone and also without them being trained and conditioned how to vote.

The critics of the Church call us a cult because what they see in our members and Church functions - appears to them the church domonate the members so effectively so and strongly influence the members thoughts and actions that members appear to not be fully thinking for themselves. Plus the church trys to do so may things behind closed doors. Much like LDS.net not correcting anything in the opem but deleting posts to hide any serious conflict and disagreements or trouble for the sake of appearce to the world. Any way that is how I see it, I thought I would I share that with you as I say good-by.
Wish you the best,

Yakie

Is that a boat on your Avatar?

It certainly is . . . brand new yacht being delivered (in Dubai, I think) a couple of years ago.  A strap on the boat lift broke and suddenly a two million dollar boat was reduced to a five-thousand-dollar salvage hulk . . . and someone was there with a camera to catch the whole thing.  ;)

That must REALLY suck!

Hi JAG,

Well, I finished the document you linked to and, wow, it really was riveting. But I still don't understand, why was the Church's doctrines discussed? It was as if the schisms were fighting to appear the most normal to the court, or something like that. I just don't understand why a court would address any of that. Any insights?
