What is LdsNana Reading Now?

I absolutely love the scriptures, and I don't say this because it sounds good. I have grown to realize, through continuous study, that these are filled with eternal truths, that witness to the Plan of Salvation and to our Savior, Jesus Christ as the center of that Plan.

I love to read books where I learn to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in a more indepth manner. I enjoy collecting antiquarian Mormon books. These are treasures to me. Someday, I hope that I will be able to acquire a Book of Mormon, dating back to the earliest years of its printing. This, of course, is a dream...

I am a seeker of light, wherever I am able to find it. I thrill in discovering new insights into the gospel. I love so many of the books that I have read and learned from. I am a reader of non-fiction.

It is too difficult for me to list my favorites, outside of the scriptures. The books that become my favorites, are those that in some way, enlighten my understanding of spiritual truths.

Right now, I am studying the Old Testament quite intensively... what a revelation!

Thank you LdsNana for your warm welcome. As you no doubt know, I'm new here! I'm studying and reading about the LDS faith. I have many questions and I'm finding some of the answers here. I would love to attend your gospel sharing but I'm not exactly sure how to go about that.

I hope to get the opportunity to chat with you some time soon.

Thanks again

Dear Nana,

I'm not up on this abbreviated language everybody is using.  Sorry.  What does tDMg mean?  I agree with georgia2 - you look wonderful for being 99!  What's your secret? (HaHa!)

So what got you started writing?  Is this just something you've always liked to do, or what?  You seem to have written quite a bit.  I've submitted some Letters to the Editors before, which were published, but you talk of writing actual articles.  Is this what you do for a living?

Sounds like you are doing alot of good for the Youth.  I read a few profiles of the teenagers on here and they seemed disappointed not to find more of their own age group.... are you going to try to connect them all together on here?    Someone needs to i think.

I got a bit emotional looking at your gallery, where you captioned 'farewell dear prophet'.  What a wonderful and loveable prophet Gordon B Hinkley was!

Loved your pics too.... my family and I visited the usa in 2003 and explored the church sites. It was a very sacred experience.  Btw you look gorgeous for being married for 30 years!  Well done.

((((hugs)))) from Canterbury Stake, England xxx
