BOOKS

I love reading, all kinds of books, but I am especially interested in inspirational books such as Stephen E. Robinson's Believing Christ and Following Christ. I also like historical fiction, biographies, Time Travel romances, Christian fiction, sci-fi and fantasy, and Apologetics.

My favorite Standard Works are the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants.

MUSIC

I like just about all kinds of music, including some heavy metal(love those guitars!), and some hip-hop(I also am fascinated with break dancing...to watch, not to do; I'd break something for sure)
My favorite categories are LDS and Contemporary Christian, Classic Rock, Classical, and Country-Western.

HOBBIES

I guess I'm rather eclectic. My hobbies and interests span the galaxies, ranging from UFO's to more down to earth interests like reading, writing, music, and movies. I also like photography and am just starting to get interested in scrap-booking. My addiction, though, is the Internet. I love blogging! I also enjoy Facebook and My Space, and some of the Virtual Reality games. I have a cute little chocolate lab named Snickers who "lives" on Foopets. I also have a couple of Neopets.

I love Church videos! My favorite ones include The Testaments, Faith in Christ, Lamb of God, Mountain of the Lord, and Prodigal Son. I also love the Joy to the World Christmas Video, and The Restoration.

ABOUT ME

As I've already mentioned in my introduction, I'm from VA, specifically the Tidewater area. I was actually born in Northern Wisconsin, raised in Northern Illinois, but spent most of my adult life in Virginia. I was a Navy wife, so also spent time in CT and SC, which is where I joined the Church, back in the 70's.

Dear MM,

It's been a while since I've checked in at your page. This is very nice. I saw that you had finally selected a picture and that prompted me. I realized I hadn't stopped by for a while.

How are things going? Hopefully well. We've had a busy day here, but that's always good. I was able to get the shopping done, the laundry, and get the car cleaned up, too. It needed it. The poor thing has been a bit neglected lately. My husband has it all the time at work and I never seem to have the opportunity to keep it up the way I used to.

Have a great Sabbath tomorrow. I enjoyed reading your statements of faith.

Yes, I didn't grow up with a lot that I could recognize as Norwegian culture, even though my dad was born in Norway, but I've been learning about it as an adult, and then I do find some things that we did that were very Norwegian.

Having my sheep in the Book of Mormon Movie was an interesting experience. They called me looking for sheep right when I was despairing about how I was going to buy my hay for that year. Sometimes God knows what He's doing. It was good for me to get out right then too. You wouldn't know it from the movie, but it was quite cold when they filmed the desert scenes. The sun was out some of the time, but only just barely enough, and no more than absolutely needed. Working with the camels was pretty neat too.

Thankyou so much! I'm very sorry to hear you lost your sister. Aren't we so fortunate to have a knowledge of the Plan of Salvation? I'm so grateful for it that I cannot even put that gratitude into words sometimes. It allows me to keep everything in perspective. I don't have to worry about my life coming to an end because the "end" is really just a new beginning; it's a passageway into a whole new phase of our eternal existence.
