Thanks for the practice in French. I think it is a good idea but you will just have to be patient in between messages as I have to take out my French Phrase book and look up some/lots of things :-)

My late husband spoke and read better French than me. Usually I can only speak "tourist French" but I promise to try. I have always loved French and French people but its hard when you "old" to learn a new language :-) I even have a French Book of Mormon which I used to try to read with his help - its was great but hard work. Unfortunately its now in storage with all my other things until we settle back in England.

I am not sure when I will be able to speak to you again as I will be flying to England tomorrow [stay with a friend overnight] and then on to the Netherlands. I am struggling to find cheap accommodation somewhere in Europe that will take me and my 2 yorkies for 6 months until they can get thier pet passport so we can return to England again.

I have been looking all over the Netherlands, France, Belguim and even as far as Spain. The internet only seems to have expensive properties. I am praying hard for help so I am sure it will all work out.

I read your testimony - what a wonderful experience! I was almost born in the church and when that happens you have to really convert some time when you are an adult. I always loved the church and it's principals brought me up as my mother left when I was 8 and my father [!] was a very abusive man. He was what people call a "sunday mormon".  Later in life I always felt that it was the only place to be but I must say, that the best church experience I ever had was going to the temple. Have you been yet? What a change it made in my life!! I started to think and see things eternally and so much rubbish in this world meant little to me after that. Eternal is best and this life is just the test.

Hi I am Michelle Clough [born Olivier] this is the reason I looked up your name as its the same as my maiden name. I have been a member most of my life. My family are from South Africa but I have traced my family back to Lille in France. I am now British but going to be living in the Netherlands for the next 6 months before going back to England. My French is very limited and I have not spoken any French in 5 years so I am afraid even to say hello without embarressing myself.
