We know that all of time is calendered around the birth of Jesus Christ. That Christmas and Easter are more meaningful to us than merely Ann Arbor day or Halloween. Just as Christmas means "MORE CHRIST" so does Mormon mean "MORE GOOD!" Jesus Christ has went about 'doing good' (Acts 10.38-42) more than just in the meridian of time from which time, as we know it today, is chronicled from the point of his birth even now 2008 yrs after that most looked forward to of all events just as His 2nd coming is looked forward to with MUCH anticipation and eagerness. People think that Jesus had some kind of 'edge' or 'advantage' as the Son of God and some think He was merely a great teacher at best; however, we have more insight than what is anciently canonized today as scripture for we have a MORE SURE witness regarding the divinity of Christ through the tangible evidence that The Book of Mormon is truly the word of God and as one of the many contributions of the Prophet Joseph Smith as it provides a 2nd hinge on the door-frame, so to speak, along with the The (LDS VERSION c. 81) Bible that Jesus is the Christ. Those two volumes of scripture hold the testimony secure and irrefutable as each ratifies the truthfulness of the other (Jhn 10.16; 3 NE 15.20,21). No mere mortal man could of stood up to what the mission of our Master, Jesus Christ, entailed and involved in His 33 yrs of the MOST difficult life anyone has ever had to bare and yet a life that is the MOST miraculous and spectacular of any mortal who has ever lived on this earth. We have more than The Book of Mormon to help lead us to Christ we have The Doctrine and Covenants to help lead us to "Christ's Kingdom" where we learn more about the depth of effort Jesus of Nazareth endured to fulfill his sacred mission here upon the earth. The Restoration of the only true gospel of Christ also brought to us The Pearl of Great Price which helps us understand the Patriarchs who marked the beginning of earth's known recorded history. We are so blessed for not only do we have these rich volumes of scripture that provide our sacred standard works we also have the words of our living prophets ever since the Church and Kgdm of God was restored back to earth on Apr 6th 1830 to the present day in a succession of ordained and inspired Prophets each set apart for a special mission in the particular time in which they were appointed according the Lord's foreknowledge and wisdom. I am thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and for the light and protection that yields to me each day. It is a pleasure to seek the mountains of Ephraim (so to speak) than the spiritual wickedness of Babylon in these days that are both great and dreadful. It is a great time to live with so much at our disposal to learn and grow in ways never possible before and yet it is a dreadful day for how mankind is taking on the very things that 'the words of life' warn against in succumbing to the temptations of the natural man which if not changed will leave a person forever an enemy to God. If we end up a friend of the world (James 4.4) more than a friend of God then what did our life really profit us? If we don't really know why we are here? Where we are going? or Where we came from to begin with? Then haven't we pretty well wasted our life if we didn't discover and act upon the answers to our basic origin and purpose to begin with? Really, if we aren't a 1st class Latter-day Saint how can we hope to be a 1st class anything else? If you are NOT a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I would invite you to 'come and see' and understand what your Eternal Father has done for you in this the dispensation of the fulness of times. There is much here for you that if you study, ponder, and embrace it will make you very, very, very rich as to your possibilities towards further spiritual progression as well as keeping your body healthy and your mind attuned to the Spirit of the Lord in your life which will make you a great benefit to all your brothers and sisters here upon the earth in the remaining days of your earthly sojourn. Why anyone would turn away from the Gospel which is simply beautiful and beautiful simple I can only think would be because of severe spiritual diseases which The Book of Mormon describes. The Book of Mormon will help us and inspire us to "Come Unto Christ" and preach to us a way to overcome our fallen state to a redeemed state to become a truly transition and transformed people ready to receive the Master when He returns to earth in the not too distant future to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I hope you will pay attention to my words, here, and prepare now and begin to have a sense of urgency of what the purpose of this existence is for and what critical times we live in and times we cannot afford to remain idle or in a state of ambiguity or ambivalence. These are times to be focused on the Master and do all we can to help build up the Kingdom of God on earth as we look look forward to the Kingdom of Heaven soon to come. By seeking the gifts of God we show our gratitude for Him as the giver of the many gifts He, in His infinite wisdom, may afford to us as we are ready to receive them. Remember in Mt 25 it was only 5 out of 10 who were prepared; yet, in Luke 17 only 1 out of 10 was grateful. Ingratitude is a crime more despicable than revenge. To stay in a disinterested state of mind  based in stubbornness only further exacerbates walking as a blind guide or remaining in the dark indefinitely rather than coming unto a wonderful flood of light available for you which there is more than a lifetime of what we can possibly ascertain and treasure so much and so rich the Restoration has afforded the inhabitants of this earth to such a degree that even three score and tens years could possibly encompass or circumscribe. As a result, there is no time to waste during these days of our probation. Remember, this is not the reward time (eternally that is) these are the days of our probation to see if we will do ALL things whatsoever the Lord, Our God hath commanded us to do in fulfilling His words just as our Older Brother, Jesus Christ, walked with strict obediences in fulfilling for His life and mission, every point defined. We have a true prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson, assisted by two wonderful counselors, Henry Eyring and Deiter Uchtdorf who teach with much plainness, love, and power. There are more added witnesses with The Twelve Apostles who testify of the truthfulness of this work and help us every month in the Ensign/Liahona as well as general conference every six months to aid us in qualifying every semi-annually to walk back, prepared and ready, to help us qualify for the presence of our Eternal Father. If we are not prepared for that possibility, at any time, whether the Master's soon arrival or our immediate, unforeseen/unknown departure, then what else mattered if we do not first seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness? Will it matter what clubs we belonged to or what job we performed, or what influence and benefit your mortal friends can grant you; yet, not one of your earthly friends has any power over death or to grant the miracle of forgiveness (for where Our Father dwells NO unclean thing can enter therein, I NE 15.34). If we do not care about our own spiritual progression and put first things first rather than delay and think we will get around to it someday what will have really mattered when the inevitable comes upon us and we are not ready or prepared for the celestial habit(s) of learning to be loyal to the royal within each of us? Man's greatest labor saving device is "I'll do it tomorrow." Jesus taught us so much wisdom in so many things if not everything (if the truth be known). He taught us "Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof." (3 NE 13.34). Each day we must seek (study) to prove worthy and ask (pray)  Our Eternal Father (in the name of His Son Jesus Christ) for His help that we might find a way, with the Gifts our Eternal Father offers us, to help deliver us from our troubles and give us the strength to bear up under them until we can find a way to triumph and overcome (Rev 3.21; 21.7) from what may easily beset us. I testify of the power of deliverance (I NE 1.20) with the Lord's hands and the surety of our putting our hands in His hands which is MORE SURE than a light and better than the known way, as much now, as in the former days when Moses was able to be an instrument, as a true prophet of God, to guide and aid the children of Israel to walk free from their captors in Egypt. Today, we have a living prophet as I have noted. All the written words in sacred work mean nothing if we do not have the living oracle of the Lord upon the earth for that is the pattern the Lord works through is His Living Prophet (Amos 3.7). We have, today, a beautiful man the Lord has chosen for His instrument in this particular time. A man who the Lord has trained not only before this earth (Jer 1.5); yet,  the only man on earth who has been in specific training as a special witness of the Master Jesus Christ and His special tutelage for the last 5 decades. The works, purposes, and designs of God cannot be frustrated (dc 3.1-3). President Monson can do many things most men have no idea of besides being able to wiggle his ears he has the ability to understand divine communication to benefit not only the church but the world at large and I would invite you to perk your ears and give strict heed to his counsels and teachings, and if you do, I promise you that these leading brethren, The First Presidency and Twelve Apostles, will lead you in the way of life and salvation towards eternal life and exaltation; yet, the power comes in the doing not merely hearing or murmuring about what is said; rather to go and do and as we DO IT we are able to KNOW IT (Jhn 7.17; Jas 1.22; 2.14-17) the truthfulness, thereof, and how it enlarges our soul (Alma 32.24-28; dc 88.15). Please feel free to  share back for I would love to hear of your building faith and progression as it brings joy to me to see many come unto Christ (Mosiah 28.3) and be perfected and find the completeness in life that the power of the gospel provides. It is a miraculous process because the Lord is in charge and there is nothing too hard for Him (Gen 18.14) He can DO all things (Mk 9.23) and so can we if we have Him as our true vine in this life (Jhn 15.5) then we can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens us (Philip 4.13); yet, without Him we can do nothing of any real eternal import. We may be busy in our lives yet what purpose is all that activity if it is not centered on our true purpose, meaning, and mission that  we also came to earth to perform to help bring to pass the Lord's choice purposes which you will read about in those books I noted above whether in Mosiah 2.17 in the Bk of Mrmn or in Moses 1.39 in the Pearl of Great Price. The words of life are not only concise but precise to which I testify in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Master, Amen.
