I was raised in the Quaker faith, but I was rebellious when I was growing up. I couldn't appreciate or grasp God's love. God's love is still difficult for me to grasp, but now I know that it is there. School was always hard for me, but, with perseverance, I was able to earn a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. When I heard about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was ready to hear the message of Christ's love. I want to share the message with everyone, so that they may also be saved.Â
I'm a Mormon because one time I was in a car accident that could have killed me, but I survived without harm. I knew then that there was a God, that He was protecting me, and that He kept me alive for a reason. The reason is to follow His son, Jesus Christ, and to tell the world of His love for us. I was baptized May 13, 2010. My cousin Mark baptized me. I found out about the Church through my friends I had been playing in a band with. The people I met in the Church were so kind and loving that I felt the presence of God because of their love. I know that this Church is true. Through Joseph Smith, the prophet, God restored His gospel on earth. Joining this Church has changed my life. I am happier than I have ever been because I have found a home in the Church. I love the Heavenly Father and thank Him every day for sending His son, Jesus Christ, to make the Atonement. Â
