Hello my Beamer:

I was looking at the quote from Maya Angelous, which has always stayed with me, although at my worst days, I had a hard time believing it.  

However, in the days that I was lucid enough to read Angelou's comments, there is one that has always stayed with me, and, as often I can, I try very hard to use Maya's words, as they are more profound to me than any religious text.

I believe Maya said this in her more-recent book, though I'm not sure.

What she said was "Everytime someone comes into the room, act like you are so excited to see her you believe that you are truly special to Maya, and that she is sincere when she tells you she loves you. And who wouldn't believe Maya Angelou?

She especially thought this was vital for children to see such a display of warmth and excitement for whomever the child is with. I know when I would do the same for my Heather, she had a grin that was as big as the state of Utah. Those grins are probably my happiest times with her, and everyday I will always remember her quote that the minute someone came into the room, we should always take the moment to show our true happiness for that person's visit. To Angelous, the person was more important that anything else the person couled bring; and yet, even that would be a wonderful memory for Maya.

She even believed another's comments were sincere and alive. Often what she had to say, though no one was home, was her wonderful gift of not living moments in fear. So she would leave a note, sometimes with a poem, and that the questions were sincere. Kid are not dumb; we are!
