I had lived in South Florida forty years before moving back home (Georgia) to care for elderly parents.
I am married; Tom travels through-out Florida and parts of Georgia and Texas for his job.
I was a Respiratory Therapist/Critical Care in Naples Fla. before coming home.
Basically, all my family is here.

I love, and collect animals. I have three "rescue" cats; three yellow Labs; a rescued rooster and hen; a rescued bunny; and a fish (from Wal-Mart)...and would like more dogs!

Hi Daune...

Nice to meet you, too!  Amazing - about your daughter!  Just goes to show you that no one, here on this Earth, can tell you when you will die.  I'll never forget during my daughter's first illness, they spent more time trying to convince us to let her go than they did trying to provide the best care for her.  It was awful...but she pulled through then...and has again and again.  There is so much we can learn from these special kids...they are such a blessing!  I'm glad you had your daughter for 10 years, and I'm sure she still lives with you, guiding you - just in a different way!

I love Elvis' movie "Blue Hawaii" - always have, since I was a kid.  In fact, I had The Hawaiin Wedding Song played at my wedding.  Too bad Elvis wasn't alive to sing it himself (like he would have, really, right?  lol)  *sniff*  *sniff*

Take care, Kim

Hi Iggy!!!  Glad to see friends here; glad you wanted to be my friend.  I am trying to get familiar with this site.  I keep forgetting who "True Grits is...LOL  I am soooo used to "Madd Dawg"...I should not have changed...oh well; too late.  Shauney says that I wrote myself a comment when what I thought I was doing, was sending HER a comment.  So, now I am afraid to try...LOL  hope this is actually a comment for you!   Love, Daune

You can pm one of the mods (Try Pam, send her a pm) and ask that your username be changed. It has been done frequently in the past.

When you want to make a public comment to someone, you go to their profile. If you want it to be private you go to your own profile and hunt down the send a private message and then go from there.

Catch you later

Love,

Iggy
