I'm fluent in English, obviously. I took 2 years of Spanish but none of it really took at all. I know my way around C++ if I want to make basic applications. I have a Book Of Mormon in Italian, and I'm hoping to learn Italian before it's "too late".

I am what you would probably call a "heavy reader". Sure, I like to read the comics, and I'm not shy to roam around image sites online. However, I do enjoy reading technical books, instruction manuals, religious texts, and (yes, I'm serious) dictionaries/thesauri. My favorite book as a kid was the rhyming dictionary. Unfortunately, to this day I'm still a horrible rhymer.

Christian Rock, Alt Rock, 60's-80's Rock...yeah. I'm also a fan of classical music.

I generally dislike movies, because I am hard of hearing. However, once movies come out on DVDs with subtitles I can enjoy them! My favorites are Babe, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (The original one), Young Frankenstin, and Batteries Not Included*.

Programming, reading, being online, doing stuff with friends, going to church (it gets me out of the house!), taking my dog for a walk.

Choose this Day by President Eyring is one of the most amazing videos I have ever seen. It was the first Mormon Messages video I ever saw. When I was finished watching it, I knew that the Church was true for a man so great to say words even greater.

I am an ex-catholic. I converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Sunday September 25th, 2011. I have always been very open minded (perhaps too open minded) but found a home in the theology and doctrines of the Church. I am looking forward to serving a mission, getting married in the temple and then adopting some beautiful children that I can then bless with the Gospel.

I am a generally enthusiastic person, but suffer from chronic depression. I know it doesn't quite compute so let me put it this way: I find it hard to get up in the morning, but when I finally do and I set my mind to something, I am devoted to making it happen.

Just stay true to yourself by always praying even with a simple prayer in your heart. Please attend your Church meetings regularly. Find someone that you can help or serve in your ward. A good person to serve may be the Elderly ones that you know. Perhaps by serving a neighbor with special needs or someone terminally ill you will feel the Savior’s love for them and for you.

Eccentric, almost weird? Sounds good to me. :) I'm pretty kooky myself! Nice to meet you.

Alexis, I called you Victoria in my response to your inspirational Blog about the Book of Mormon and attending church. Sorry for the error. Just when I think I understand how this site works, I realize how little I do know about it. But, I do know people pretty good, and appreciate the way God blesses all as we continue to try and do what is right with the right spirit. He obviously has blessed you abundantly. Blessings, Gar:)

hello and thanks for the invite. saint-ism, lol, i like that. you make rosaries, cool. when i was a jain i made malas out of the person's birthday gemstones on silver wire. i loved doing that. i might be able to understand the feeling you get when you do it. as angela said below, i too, have studdied different religions. i've seen different approaches and "dogma", and overall, i've seen an amazing similarity in them.

i see you play the clarinet. you might say that deciding on a religious path is picking the one that you feel creates the best spirititual hormonic within you.

i have greatly enjoyed my studies and have ALWAYS had some new truths revealed to me, but i do understand that others might be confused by all the different approaches.

so, blah-blah-blah...lol

welcome, again
