The sinner's favorite scripture passage is Jesus' acclaimed, "Judge not lest thou be judged." And yet, surely we are to call sin sin. We do not overlook adultery, spousal or child abuse. We even encourage those compelled towards drugs, alcohol, or other compulsions to enter into fulltime residential treatment. None of this is considered judgmental. In fact, good correcting, rebuking, and instruction in righteousness should be basic to discipling believers--especi... Read More
A few weeks ago, I was really asking myself that question - how can I be sure if I have been forgiven? And yet...I sin. My mind wanders, my words slip, my d... Read More
To journal or not to journal is not the question. We know it's noble to write of suffering things and points of enormous blessing, store up anecdotes for seas of children. And by documenting save them? To write: to share. Much more--by writing say we live. The triumph and the thousand tears for joy and loss that man is prone to; it's a rollercoaster, delicious, to be cherished. To write, to share; to share perhaps to fame: oh, that sec... Read More
