To understand that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw, we must study it out in our minds and humbly ask God if this is true.  We can read the Book of Mormon and believe that it is a good book, but until we are able to humble our hearts before God, the Holy Ghost, our friend and revealer of all truth cannot reveal the truth of it to us.

Most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe as I do. The Book of Mormon is a literal translation from the writings found on the Golden Plates to English using the Seer stones given to Joseph Smith for that purpose. Blessings, Gar

Many of us will have trials similar to what the Prophet Joseph Smith faced, and we may be hurt or offended merely because of our love for God.
