The Law: Section 32
Posted On 11/02/2009 12:37:45 by noblegas8

Section 42 of the Doctrine and Covenants was given as fulfillment of the Lord’s promise that the “Law” would be given in Ohio. It is one of the few revelations that are specifically named in the Doctrine and Covenants. The significance of the Law is not just in its content; the significance is also derived from the manner in which the revelation was received. By understanding how this revelation was received, we can learn... Read More

Joseph Smith and the Law of Consecration
Posted On 04/25/2008 00:36:00 by Vanessa2

I have been listening to "The Life and Teachings of Joseph Smith" on CD while I commute (I drive about 2 hours per day) and I have learned some very interesting and wonderful things about the first prophet of this dispensation. Today, I listened to the lecture on the Law of consecration and it revealed to me how giving, how generous, and how loving the Prophet Joseph Smith was. Very often, he would give his last dollar to anyone who was in need, rendering himself penniless. How amazing. Does... Read More
