Having a pet is a special kind of happiness, and losing a pet can be a very difficult thing to endure. This is a key element in overcoming most kinds of melancholy or feelings of despair.  As soon as you attempt to be of service you may face some kind of opposition.  If this happens, then it is important to allow God to help you as you continue to try and serve others.  Pray and ask God for His help.  I just did and He helped me.   Blessings, Gar
