"Where None Before Hath Stood"

 Dear Everyone,

     I wrote this poem such a long time ago I almost forgot I had it, but steve354's blog about 9/11 and taking time to show our patriotism brought it back to mind.  The refrain to this was actually an advertisement posted back in the 1600's during the colonization of this land.  Investors used it as a means of persuading people to uproot themselves from their homelands and re-settle in the "New World".  This one's... Letting Go

So many broken promises and dashed hopes.

Another wound to an already vulnerable heart.

A relentles ache from within the soul whispers,

"It's time to let go."


Vanished dreams for a happy, loving future,

Concern puhed aside once more...

Leaves a lingering feeling of confusion and despare.

A broken heart realizes that it must now

Let Go.
