Where Is Our Freedom?
Posted On 12/22/2008 09:01:40 by cjmaldrich
Looking at the United States of America, a country that I would be willing to fight tooth and nail to the death for, it is obvious that something is lacking. It's arguable what the cause is; if there could be a single cause laid out.

In the beginning was the Revolutionary war. Many brave young men, like Joseph Plumb Martin (who was 16 when he enlisted), went off to fight for the freedom that they wanted. They faced starvation, freezing weather, a force much larger than their own, and... Read More

Erin Tolman Releases A View of Jerusalem
Posted On 12/15/2008 16:08:55 by tom6a
Even eight years after returning to the United States, the view of Jerusalem’s Old City from the top of the Mount of Olives remained vivid in author Erin Tolman’s mind, as did the sound of gunfire and sirens which marked the beginning of the Second Intifada in September 2000.

Being the eldest sister in the family isn't easy.  Over the years I have come to realize just how daunting that is.
Sometimes I wonder how I "lucked" into being the eldest...

The Soldier Author Unknown
A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco. "Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've got a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring with me." "Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him.""There's something you should know," the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mine and lost an arm an leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I w... Read More

How does, The Family: A Proclamation to the World, guide me and how it...

This is a talk that I gave earlier this year; at the end of Jan. 2009. My wife and I were moving away from a wonderful ward and I wanted to give my testimony for the last time.  When I approached the Bishopric, they asked me to give a talk and the title of the talk is listed above.  Please note that there are a couple of changes to the talk. 1st, I used my wife's computer screen name.  2nd, this talk was given when President Hinckley was still alive but my testimony still remains...
