The Vicissitudes of Life
Posted On 08/16/2008 15:19:14 by KeithLBrown
The message that you are about to read has been one of the most enjoyable messages for me to write, and yet, at the same time, it has perhaps been one of the most difficult messages for me to write. I found it to be enjoyable because as I wrote I had the opportunity to reflect upon the days of yesteryear and relive in my mind’s eye some wonderful and precious memories. I found it difficult, or maybe the word challenging would be better used here, because of the chameleon of emotions that I exp... Read More

Blessings, Not Complaints
Posted On 07/30/2008 04:38:05 by Tamrajh
I have been having a really hard time with life in general lately and as I was sitting here at 4:30 AM because, once again, I could not sleep, I started thinking about all the things that were wrong in my life. I suddenly remembered who it was that wanted me to do that, and I don't like him (Satan). So I'm choosing to do the opposite because I like Him (God) and what he has given me. I am so ready to get this trip over with! I'm excited to meet Adelle face to face, but nervous too. I'm grimy from this bus ride and don't want that to be her first impression of me, but like she said we're past the first impression stage. Last night was the best part of my trip thus far. I had a seat to myself, it was quiet, and I didn't sweat. I have to say that this trip was a good one because I had some really good missionary experiences. The one I wrote about in the begining of this trip wa... Read More

It seems that lately my wife and I have had several chances to help others out. Like they were tests or something. A lot of time we feel like we are too busy to help, or that we have too much to do to spare a few minutes or that out budget is so tight that we can't help those in need. In a rough world like this, I sometimes think that I got to look out for myself and my family and not worry so much about other peoples' problems. These last few weeks, however, we have tried to pay more attention... Read More

The Tender Mercies of the Lord
Posted On 06/17/2008 09:06:28 by PapilioMemnon
How grateful I feel for the Lord's love in answering our prayers and being merciful unto us. Mike wanted a X-Box 360 which I couldn't give him for several reasons, especially financial ones.
So, he started working and selling chocolates to raise the money to buy one. He went throught the streets & businesses offering to everyone, and was selling well. When people asked him why he was selling chocolates, he answered with the truth: 'ĂŤ'm selling to raise money to buy myself a X-Box 360!"... Read More
