Genesis 21
Posted On 08/01/2008 17:30:49 by MaidservantX
The following passage has been one of my favorites that I turn to from time to time to continue to help me understand my relationship to my Father in heaven as a woman, and most particularly how I might receive revelation from him, and how I might best conduct my life as a daughter of God.  The story, while true, also has a great deal of spiritual information in between the lines.   v15  "And the water was spent in the bottle .. ." v16  "Let me not see the death of the c... Prophets Speak the Will of the Lord & Counsel Us in Truth & Wisdom

I love this talk by President Eyring; it explains the importance of prophets, and the importance of following the to those who profess to believe. of the Spirit, the Holy Ghost, is essential in every season of our mortal
lives."... Read More

Poverty/ Abundance Doux
Posted On 05/08/2008 09:28:14 by MaidservantX
I would like to add a note to our understanding of poverty versus abundance.  First, of course, each of our lives is (usually) not completely poor or plenty.  We will have areas of life that we have a lot in (for example, health perhaps) at the same time as having a lack in another area (perhaps we have not been blessed with children, for example). Secondly, no matter what the area is, it is not merely a black and white choice between 'I have some' or 'I don't have any'.  Rather I... Read More
