I am in the middle of a divorce. My wife, who is not an active member and has opposed my membership in the church has left me and has taken with her our 8 week old baby for another man. She took the baby out of spite for me discovering her cheating. I thought it was very interesting that to end the semester of a marriage prep class the cirriculum had us talk about divorce in the final lecture. divorce is something that has affected my life in more ways than one. I have felt the impact and pain associated with divorce as I've watched some people that I dearly love experience it in all of its ramifications. I finally understand what I need to do! The only thing that mattters in all of this mess is the salvation of my family. I can't be an effective tool to that end if I'm in battle with my wife. If she doesn't want to be married to me that is her choice, and It's my choice how I deal with it. My greatest hope is that my wife is converted and our children will live by the gospel standards.
