Word of Wisdom
Posted On 09/30/2008 14:09:30 by AndrewCothran
I am thinking very seriously about putting into practice the dietary suggestions of the word of wisdom . they have helped so many people live more healthy lives and medical science shows the wonderful benefits that following this health code can bring ..And the beauty of it is you don't even have to believe in the Doctrines of the lds in order to use it .. It is something that can benefit you regardless of what you believe ... my biggest issue would be not drinking tea and only eating red meat s... Read More

Museum

The other night I went to the Crandall Museum in Provo, UT for a class at BYU.  The tour was a little long, but the workers were pretty sweet because they just loved what they were doing.  They shared some pretty cool stories about the printing press and the coming forth of the Book of Mormon.  Actually seeing the old school techniques used by the printers of the Book of Mormon was pretty incredible.  There seemed no possible way to have printed 5,000 copies of the book... This is because they each cover teaching and miracles by Jesus that are also covered in another account. John, writing later, recounts Jesus' other words and miracles that have a particular spiritual meaning.   All four gospels present Jesus as both the Son of God and son of man. They all... Choose the Right . . . .
By Brother Keith L. Brown The following Sacrament talk was delivered to the congregatiom of the Severna Park Ward on Sabbath Day morning, 20 July 2003.    Choose the right road . . . . the road that leads to life eternal   “God had decreed that all who will not obey His voice shall not escape the damnation of hell. What is the damnation of hell? To go with that society who have not obeyed His commands.” – Joseph Smith (TPJS, p.198.)   In Doct... Read More
