Joy in the Scriptures

Sometimes, I think that if we let it, scripture study can become rote and not meaningful.   I know that for me, I am not always as diligent as I should be in "feasting on the words of Christ" or in other words, really digging in and studying with a purpose; but instead, it may be late at night and I only skim a few verses.  Also, I think that because the scriptures are so readily available, I sometimes take them for granted.
