As of July 24, the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, an increase of 70 cents from last year's rate. The change might seem insignificant, but that amount multiplied over 40 hours per week for an entire year would be a welcome boost to anyone's bank account. Now, someone earning minimum wage and working full time will have an annual income of $15,080.

I just heard today. I've got a new job. Its a 5 year contract doing security at a primary school rebuild. Since it's a government contract, there's no chance of it falling through. It's nice to finally feel safe in a job that should take me through the worst of the credit crunch. I also don't need to work day shift on a Sunday, so I'm never going to have to miss church. I'm so greatful to my Heavenly Father for giving me this wonderful blessing at this time and boy did I need it.... Read More
