Doors and More Doors
Posted On 10/04/2008 22:28:49 by HoosierGuy
I was doing something Friday. I'm not going to say what. But I thought I could start and complete this thing in one hour or so. It turns out, I will not be able to finish it till Monday.

That made me depressed a little. I was thinking - there are always more doors to go thru. Right when I get to my destination, I'm really not at my destination at all and I find another door to go thru. Door after door. It seems to never end and that makes me depressed.

Learning from the Past
Posted On 06/03/2008 10:26:35 by PapilioMemnon
King Mosiah really teaches us how to learn from the past in this chapter, and "and to look forward to do what will bring us peace..."

Feelings about General Conference

I'm not sure I can express in words how I feel about General Conference, but I'll try.

To have the privilege of watching live a Prophet of God, Twelve Apostles and other General Authorities, men and women, speak the Lord's will, counsel, exhortation, His concern, love, and encouragement for us, and actually feeling their personal concern and love for each one of us is more than amazing. All the effort and diligence they put into it shows how much they really and deeply care for us.... Read More

In a previous blog I talked about how we could examine the lifestyle of an infant to get clues as to how we might want to live also.  I made a list of ways that an infant experiences life and that we can experience life also.  Then I elaborated on two of the items on the list -- "Receiving" and "Being".

Now I am going to elaborate on another of the items on the list -- "Physicality".

First of all -- all mammal babies need to touched, and especially massaged in the area of... Read More

Life seasons: Infancy: Preview
Posted On 03/20/2008 10:38:38 by MaidservantX
As we move through life seasons, we generally build on the foundation of what went before.  Human development is a flow, an unfolding, a revelation.

I would not so much like to discuss the facts of our memories and what was transmitted to us, but rather the CAPACITIES of learning and development that we all possess.  Not only does our learning by precept increase over time, but the actual capacities for the intake of knowledge and the forming of intimacies unold from the beinnin...
