My heart is breaking for children that have died. 
I live on the Nisqually river, and 2 children have died.  The mom made choices that where bad and the children pay the price.
The mother chose to take a ride from a stranger on a boat.  The stranger was drinking.  The mother got on the boat, and did NOT put a life jacket on either of her kids.

Perspective is very interesting and complex. On one hand, I had an awful day.  Actually, my whole week has been terrible.  Politics and ugliness at work have just clouded my mind and hurt my heart. On the other hand, my day was good and my week has been blessed. How can it be both? Is it a contradiction? Confusion

I literally don't have much time to write but this has been weighing heavily on my heart.   Last week there was a shooting at my daughter's elementary school.   A 6th grader shot a 5th grader in the shoulder and luckily the victim will be ok because it was  just with a soft air rifle but still....it is something that shouldn't be on school grounds and it has scared the heck out of me.   What if this kid was doing a "dry run" to see how easy it would be to tote around a r...
