Well I thought I would post some thoughts that I had on the recent General Conference. The first thing of note is the new temples that were announced. I live in Calgary, so a temple in our backyard is pretty exciting. I am a member of the Provo Utah Grandview Stake and attended our regional conference today. There were over 135 stakes from Wasatch and Utah counties that attended the broadcast transmitted via satellite from the Marriott Center on BYU campus. In attendance was Ann Dibb, member of the Young Women General Board and daughter of President Monson, President Packer, President Utchdorf, and stake presidents from the BYU and Student stakes in the Provo and Orem areas. ... All through my life I’ve known the importance of temples. I’ve known they are necessary to obtain our own endowments and seal us to our families for eternity. I also know they are important so we can perform earthly ordinances for our departed ancestors.
