Praying for a testimony

Often we Protestants, and especially we Evangelicals, criticize LDS for seeking a spiritual feeling whenever you want to know what is true.  "The Bible says, I believe it, and that settles it!" we like to exclaim.  However, I find this practice refreshing and biblical.  The most dramatic case in point is Acts 2.  Here are dozens of followers of the Way (Jesus) babbling and expressing great emotion, and 9AM.  Peter stands up and says, "THIS is THAT which was prophesie... This is a supplement to the "Houston Temple / Small Things" testimony I posted on 8-29-08. http://www.lds.net/listing/view/id_488/title_ houston-temple-small-things/ As you know the Houston temple photograph appeared on my screensaver while typing my experience. The screensaver changes every 30 minutes.
