Scripture Reading

Well, as I have thought about having a 'blog', I have wondered about it, but decided it couldn't be all that bad. tongue.gif
Last year our Stake President asked everyone to read the Book of Mormon before our fall Stake Conference. This year he asked everyone to read the Doctorine and Covenants before Stake Conference. During our ward conference a few weeks ago, he added the challenge to read the Joseph Smith's History and attend the temple within the month before Stake Conference (as well as reading D&C). Then President Hinkley has asked us to read the Book of Mormon before the end of this year.
I have given this thought, and I know that the Lord is asking us to be better prepared, to make sure that we totally are prepared for things to come. That we have a sure knowledge of the gospel. I have some reading to do to catch up, but I know that I will have everything done in the time in which I have been given.
The temple attendance has been done. I have read the Joseph Smith History twice this year (once for young women - I am a counselor in the ward yw presidency), and once for our Stake President.
I will get worried if next year I receive the challenge to read all the standard works, and then some between Stake Conferences! huh.gif
As for now, I will continue working on reading everything as I have been asked, and know that I have done as I was asked by the Lord, the Prophet, and the Stake President!
