The Holy Ghost, a member of the Godhead, is a revelator, a guide, a teacher, a comforter, a purifier, a sanctifier, and a testifier. The Holy Ghost will guide us "into all truth" (John 16:13) and testify that Jesus is the Christ (see John 15:26 and 1 Corinthians 12:3). The Liahona was the guide to Lehi's family in the wilderness. It worked for them according to their faith. Although we do not have the Liahona to guide us in our actions today, we do have the gift and blessing of the Holy Ghost to show us the way to make correct choices.However,when Lehi and his family ocassionally forgot to be diligent and exercise their faith, those marvelous works ceased.  Alma 37:40 And it did work for them according to their afaith in God;
