"In our earthly journey, we will need answers to questions and guidance in our lives. Through prayer we can communicate with the God of Heaven and receive answers."  Clayton Huber  BYU Devotional   02-05-02

God is Aware of Our Needs

The downside to being able to easily take things apart is being able to correctly get them back together.  This morning I was faced with the challenge of fixing a utility in the house.  I had no idea how to fix it, but I did believe that I could take it apart with no problem, so why not put it together, right? In the past I have always been able go do this, no problem, but today even after asking a professional how to reassemble the unit, I could not get it back correctly.  It seemed simple enough to do in the first place, or I wouldn’t have taken it apart.

Finally, I prayed and asked God to help me figure out what I was doing wrong.  I had an immediate feeling to put my glasses on so I could focus better.  Then I thought it would be a piece of cake. Well, it wasn’t that easy. After an hour of struggling, I thought that I would pray about again.  Well, I received another prompting. Finally, after nearly breaking the unit, I was able to get it completely back together and lo and behold, it worked!

After I was finished, I had one more thing to do and that was to thank my Heavenly Father for answering my prayer and helping me as I became more and more frustrated with what should have been a simple task.

I marveled at how great and glorious He is and of all the beautiful creations He has made for the benefit of His children.  He gave his only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ as a sacred sacrifice for me and all of His Children that we may have eternal joy and happiness. I thought that He must be very busy staying in touch with all of His children.  .  He could have over-looked my plea, but He chose to answer it and teach me more about His love for all of His children.
