How Does Run To Tomorrow Sustain Us?

Why Run to Tomorrow with a Perfect Brightness of Hope?

The Perfect Brightness of Hope is the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and faith in the power of the Atonement will empower any of us who experience trial and tribulation to receive the strength we need to endure to the end of the purpose of mortality for us.  Faith is the key to run to tomorrow and continued faith in a perfect brightness of hope will sustain us as we endure our mortal missions.

Everybody in this life has their challenges and difficulties. That is part of our mortal test. The reason for some of these trials cannot be readily understood except on the basis of faith and hope because there is often a larger purpose which we do not always understand. Peace comes through hope. (LDS General Conference, James E. Faust, “Hope, an Anchor of the Soul,” October 1999)

The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of hope. Members of the Church who chart a course leading to eternal life, and who pursue that course with fidelity and devotion will be guided by a “brightness of hope.” Hope is ever a member of the family of faith. The spirit of the Lord is positive; it liberates one from the darkness of doubt and despair. (Doctrinal Commentary on the Book of Mormon 1:367)
