In Alma 17:3 we read, "But this is not all; they had given themselves to much prayer and fasting; therefore they had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation, and when they taught, they taught with power and authority of God." What a marvelous promise is extended to us through this scripture and its examples in faithfulness, hard work, and obedience. As a service missionary at the prison I have heard many testimonies from inmates speaking so highly and warmly of their missions, and knowing they had committed major transgressions to end up in prison. Fortunately for them and for each of us the atonement is available. As we strive to enter stay on the pathway of the Lord and adhere to the "iron rod" we are comforted and promised that we, too, can have the spirit and power of prophecy and revelation through our faithfulness. How Great Thou Art. -Jannie

Great is your mission with those in the prison. Through your self-less example and service, they will be able to feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost as you testify of eternal truths. Gar
