Going the Distance for a Friend

This could be thought of as going the distance for a friend. Blessings, Gargantuan

Simple Acts

I went walking with my neighbor tonight.  He is over 10 years younger than I am, so I worried I might walk to slow for his pace.  Though we only covered a distance of two miles, it was an enjoyable jaunt, because we were able to walk and talk.  At times, he preferred to walk on the side closest to the busy street and I asked him why walk where he might get hurt.  He responded by telling me that he was watching out for me.  His action was a simple act of kindness that I hadn’t expected.  This type of kindness is an example of the unexpected kindness we all can show to our neighbor.  It isn’t the noticeable acts of kindness that are needed as much as the simple acts we can show with a friendly greeting, a smile, a handshake, or something that will go unnoticed, praying for your neighbor’s happiness.
