Wonderful day
Posted On 09/23/2012 15:32:36 by ozl89
It's been a while... Again. So it's Sunday evening, or I should say night cos it's 23:36 while writing this. I should be asleep, but as you see, I'm not. I've been doing homework, speaking with my cousin and a good friend. I've had an awesome day though. First church, I'm so happy i went today! Then I went home, rested and studied and then I got a quick visit and now I'm here, with homework and wonderful classical music. Oh, how I love classical music. I've also started with my genealogical research, which is going pretty well I must say. I have a few names to bring to the temple. Oh yeah, I got my first temple recommend today. So I can now get baptized for my dead relatives. Which feels great! I'm so happy. Oh well, back to homework! Bless you all

Wow, beautiful comments. Let me tell you a story about geneology. It happened in 1985. It was much harder in those days to do genealogy because we didn't have the computer networks that exist today.

I had been trying, off and on for some years to try to get somewhere on my genealogy. One day at the Family History center I decided, as a last resort to check a microfilm resource that listed everyones name who was working to find information on certain ancestors. I took my furtherst back ancestor, Asa ELLSWORTH and found someone in Texas that had information on him. I wrote her a letter.

Barbara D.(a non-member) wrote me an amazing letter accompanied by about 200 pages of genealogy. In her letter she said "Let me tell you a tale of spooky..." She said she was thinking about Asa ELLSWORTH while sitting in the county genealogical society. She was having trouble finding anything on him. She was tired and about to quit. She put her hands behind her head and leaned back her chair. As she did so she notices a book way overhead, out of reach on the top shelf of the library stacks.

It couldn't really explain why it attracted her attention other than it was big and red. She climbed up, took the book down and opened it randomly. The book fell open to a page containing Elsa ELLSWORTH and several lines of his ancestors including one back to 1096 to a Norman Village in England.

The enclosed pages was the information from that volume.

I have had times in doing Geneology since then when I knew that I was getting some of the most miraculous help imaginable, but only enough to cover what I couldn't do mayself.

Keep it up and you will know you are in the presence of Angels. They may even talk to you.
