Dreams Die Hard
Posted On 01/08/2008 23:13:41 by Lindy
Great words from an old country song I loved back in the late 80's.
Here's the chorus:

Dreams die hard
When they don't come true
Dreams die hard
And there's nothing you can do
Dreams die hard
When they take your pride
It's hard to find a new dream
With an old one in your eyes

(gary morris)

I know the song is about lost love, and not being able to get over the
feeling....but I look at this part another way too...I think about all the
people who have these dreams and high hopes of acheiving their dreams, and
then cut down before reaching what they have dreamed of for so long. I have
so much respect for those who pull themselves back up and either find a way
to modify that dream, or to find a total new dream for themself to acheive.
The dancer-the ball player- the skier who lose their sight or their legs,
etc. I am in awe to watch others take adversity by the horns and come out
on top again.
I'm a die hard dreamer....only thing I have that no one can take from me.
