It's so sad to witness how the world gets more and more wicked as time passes by. I wish I was born at the time when the world still have high moral standards. I could really say that I am so blessed to have been taught about the standard of sexual purity which is the same standard that has been taught even from the beginning of time. This includes purity of thoughts, complete sexual abstinence before marriage, and total fidelity within marriage. I certainly believe that following that standard will help us be confident in avoiding the unfortunate consequences of immorality which is so prevalent in today's society. I would just like to qoute these words of President Spencer W. Kimball who once spoke out about morality. " We declare firmly and unalterably, [morality] is not an outworn garment, faded, old-fashioned, and threadbare. God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and His covenants and doctrines are immutable; and when the sun grows cold and stars no longer shine, the law of chastity will still be basic in God's world and in the Lord's Church. Old values are upheld by the church not because they are old, but rather through the ages they have proved right. It will always be the rule". I could remember I once had a conversation with an acquaintance and he told me that engaging in premarital sex is just a normal thing nowadays. He told me there is nothing bad with that. Oh, really? The world may have changed, but God's laws are still the same. That thing is an abomination in His sight yesterday, today, and always. We sholud not think that because others are doing it, it would also be well with us. NOOOOOOOO.... We should not let ourselves fall into Satan's trap. The father of lies keeps on telling everyone, trying to convince everybody that it is okay to do that thing even if you are not married as long as the both of you love each other. Let us remember that marriage is ordained of God and that thing I am talking about could only be acceptable to be done by a man and a woman lawfully wedded as husband and wife. If that sounds old-fashioned, so be it. Anyway most of us have witnessed that it has the benefit of being true. We saw that those who lived the standard of sexual purity have been spared from the emotional consequences of meaningless one-night stands, etc. Just imagine how the world would be like if everyone at present would live this law!
