Life

What is life? A good question, one asked by countless people a great deal smarter than I am.

In the hard sciences, life is defined as the succesful transmission of genetic material based on environmental factors.

In the social sciences, life is something that either is said not to exist, or reduced to statistical data.

On TV, life becomes a tragic/comic reflection of current culture.

In politics, life is something you can tax, that should be controlled.

In religion, life is the point of life, but not an end to itself.

So I ask myself, what is life?

It is much simpler than anyone realizes. Life is. It is not a defined quality or experience, rather it's a limited span of experience, starting at birth and ending at death. Anything can happen in that amount of time.

Life is your time on Earth, what it looks like is based on you.

Life, don't talk to me about life...
