Church Project Idea
Posted On 02/22/2008 12:22:35 by MidWestGizmo

So I've been rolling an idea around in my head in response to Heathers call for LDS photos. Since I am a photographer I took this as a personal calling to use my talents. My idea is to organize a nationwide trip to shadow missionaries from different states. My ultimate goal would be to provide a wonderful black&white photo journal of their daily lives, as well as include personal testimonies from each pair. I was hoping I could somehow get Deseret Books to publish and help market the sales of the book. I believe this would be a wonderful insight into their lives and inspire personal missionary work for the rest of us.

The challenge of course is coming up with the funds to take on such a project. I realize I could claim some expenses on my taxes, but not all of them. It's all the up front cash that would continue thwarting me from going ahead with the planning process. While I'll not forget, neither give up on this project, I'm not sure when it will get off the ground. If it does I'd like to submit updates along the way in the form of photos for the community to comment on.
