Tragic events
Posted On 03/17/2008 01:34:27 by wsvirtue
There has been yet another tragic event in my branch here in Parsons Kansas. The two year old granddaughter of a couple in our branch drowned in a pond near their house. I have not known them long since they just recently moved here, but I know they are good people. I was asked today by the Branch President to speak on the plan of salvation at her funeral tommarrow. I am both humble and honored to have been asked to speak. There will be many nonmembers there, and her Father is an inactive member. I've been up late working on it and just finished it, but can't sleep. This is a great missionary opportunity, and I'm sure that perfect little child is counting on me to deliver the message of Christ's love to her Father and Mother. I hope and pray that I'm up to the task. I can't help but wonder what The Lord is preparing us for here in our humble branch. The adversary is doing his level best to set us off course. I have so much faith in Christ and know that he love us, and that we can endure all hardship in and through Him. Shane Virtue

My prayers are with you and the family, and all the people involved.  Hang in there, and best of blessings,
