The Lord is there

The Lord is There! By Maraleh
When the whole world falls around you,He is there!
When you don’t know quite what to do,He is there!
When the shadow of the valley
Turns the heart to deep despair,
Look up and look around you,
He is there!
When the whole earth seems against you,
He is there!
When not knowing who to turn to,
He is there!
When the battles all around you
and no one does seem to care,
Look up and raise your voice,
For He is there!
He is there in times of trouble.
He is there in times of need.
He is there right when you need Him.
He is there, He is indeed.
He will put His arms around you.
He will wipe away those tears.
He comforts those in sorrow,
And will silence all your fears.
Whenever you are troubled,
Just lift your voice in prayer.
He is there, He does care!
The Lord is there!

This is another poem I wrote a while back, but it was also to a melody once. It was inspired by an old friend of mine who passed away, but who taught me the meaning of faith.  She is long gone, but well remembered for her kind words and deeds.  This is dedicated in her memory, and I hope someday that it may help others find comfort too.
