Well this marks the first week of wedding planning... We have a couple years before the actual ceremony but I tend to forget important details, so I'm starting early. I want as much red as possible since red brings good luck according to the Chinese (and red is my favorite color).Â
So, of course, I want to pick out the dress first. I look all over town and everything is either too revealing for my taste or just ugly. I'm trying to have things that are in style but wont look too dated (like those hideous 80s headdress things). So I go looking online and come up with two great websites- latterdaybride.com and beautifullymodest.com! I found what I thought would be the perfect dress... then I went to the next page and there was a beautiful one there! They were ALL great! Then... suddenly... there it was. My PERFECT dress.Â

I'm going to replace the sash with a red ribbon, but it is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!
So after the dress is picked out, I start thinking about cake (mostly because I'm starving at this point). I want my cake to be fun, but pretty, too. No such thing. I must have looked at a thousand cakes and not ONE I liked. Finally, the lady pulls out this design that was used for a little girl's birthday party... and it's perfect!Â

A little childish, I know, but it's going to be eaten anyways! It's going to be set on some red and white lace with a few *CLEANED* feathers around the bottom. It's going to be traditional white cake inside, but I'm going to have a mini-cake made just for my Grandpa with chocolate cake inside because he wont go to a party unless there's chocolate cake! There will also be sheet cake with the same design on it for the guests... and plenty of it! I hate going to weddings and getting the tiniest piece of cake... Wedding cake is so tasty and you only get a little sliver! NOT at my wedding!
OH YEAH! Cory needs to be wearing something!Â
Well that's easy. Red vest with a black coat. Done. (Oh, for it to be that easy to pick out girls' clothes)
On to bridesmaids. I don't like the tradition of long gown things all one color. They don't look good on everyone and they get to be an eyesore. Well, that's ok, I still found something that fits the personalities (and body types) of all of my friends.Â

Hmm what now? Hair? Ok. Easy. I'll just use my prom hairstyle with a veil.Â

That reminded me! Flowers! Well, roses, of course, but that gets a little old. What about little white flowers? OK!

Wait... the guy's flowers... He hates plain roses. Whoops... Well it's too late, I'm not changing my flowers for him. What about...Â
  Perfect. DONE with that.
Ok, just one more thing to plan this week... Centerpieces? That's easy.Â

Well that's it for this week... Starting in again on Monday!
