The Third day ... i know finaly it took me long enough ... haha

We wake up at 6:30 and EVERYTHING is covered in dew. guess what that means?! we didnt have to hurry as fast today cause everything had to dry out before we could pack it yay! when i first got out of my sleeping bag a was shivering it was still quite cold out the sun was quite up all the way.... oh and theres pa humming and cooking breakfast again.. and of course i didnt want to be last to the bathroom so i book it and guess what there was no line .. but there was a line at the guys bathroom haha suckers! i wish i had my camera so i could take a picture of that i line at the guys bathroom not the girls the guys ... lol anyways... so we eat breakfast and packed up once everything was dried out and then we were on our way it was ecspecially hot today and the grass was really swampy and there were millions of bugs that no amount of bug spray could repell .. ok maybe it wasnt that bad but it was pretty bad.. we had a few creeks that we had to walk over today they were only about ankle deep so it wasnt to bad except thats where the bugs thickest... we stop for lunch just before we cross another river we didnt think it looked like it would be to hard to cross boy were we wrong ... we get to the river bank and it was a really steap muddy hill only about three feet long but boy was it hard to hold the cart back so it wouldnt roll over the kids up in front....the mud was ankle deep and once we got to it we just slipped right down into the river it then we so the other side of the bank and it was the exact same way... i thought there is no way we are going to make it up that..well with alot of pushing and slipping and falling and having to get back up we finally made it.. boy was i glad that was over and a bathroom break right after it which i really needed right then ... haha ... we walk not even like half a mile when guys in military outfits like the mormon battalion .. we stop their and they tell us they need all the pas and their sons to come with them to help in the war... so one family at a time the pas and their sons left ... i didnt really think anything of it till my pa and brothers left then i couldnt hold back the tears... as the men walked up the hill one of the girls started singing As Sisters In Zion and we all joined in... once we were done all the men turn around and started singing Arm of Helaman ... wow ... that just brought even more tears.. all of the girls go back to our carts with our mas and say a prayer then we slowly make our way up the hill... two carts for me my two sisters and my ma because we have our injured sis who cant really walk .. so two of us to a cart but next thing we know their are girls from other families that came to help us ... there are now 4 to a cart but that hill seemed like it would never end with me and my mom in the front just pulling and balling our eyes out not only because we felt like we had no strength but the spirit that was there right at that moment.. me and my ma fell to our knees in the middle of the hill we had no more strength to move on ... but we had to... even though we felt like we could not stand another minute we said another prayer that we'd have the strength to make it to the top... it was amazing what happened next we stood up feeling we had no strength to move .. but it felt as though their was an angel by our side helping us up that hill... the load was all the sudden lighter.. and im not saying it was easy now ... the load was just a little lighter it seemed and we found an inner strength we didnt know was there... when we got to the top of the hill i look up and all the guys are standing there tears rolling down their faces and they looked like they wanted to jump out and help us that last couple feet but knew they couldnt .. that we needed to get through it ourselfs .. we made it we finally made it my family was the last one up but we made it and our pa and brothers come over and we all gather in a group hug no words were spoken.. we just stood there hugging each other while the tears still flowed down our cheeks ... and me barely able to stand (the growth plate in one of my ankles rub together and my ankle was just ponding with pain) looks up at my family and im just like " I don't know aobut you guys but i think i just learned one of the biggest lessons of my life" ... and then we all just kinda sat on the ground and talked about what we had just went through .. my pas and brothers said just walking up that hill made them tired and they honestly thought we werent going to make it up the hill with out them but we did ... now we are all just kinda stopping for a break walking around talking with friends and stuff i find my friend heather and alix sitting out away from everyone else talking so i go over and join and we all hug ... and yes more tears ... and then all of us talked about it till it was time that we all had to go back to our families and start treking again i tried to just kinda walk on my toes on my foot that was hurting and my pa and brothers realize and they are just like "Amber get in the cart you, you should of told us your ankle was bothering you" ... i told them i'd be fine i'd just walk behind the cart but they would not take no as answer they picked me up and put me in the cart i saw this huge hill coming up so i beg them to just let me walk up this one hill ... i didnt want them to have to pull me up it but they wouldnt let me out of the cart .. great i guess i'd be stuck in there till we got back to camp .. since we were just going in a huge circle that day... well all that bumping around in the cart made me really have to go to the bathroom.. and we finally made it back to the bathroom my pa helps me out of the cart and i book it to the bathroom i didnt care how much my ankle was killing me i just needed to go to the bathroom ... so after that we load the buses and go to our last camp site after we get camp set up we go on a short like 3 minute hike (which my pa and brothers carried me because they refused to let me walk on my ankle) were we stopped on a side of a hill and a devotional .. then we head back to camp and have dinner and head to bed after our long day of treking .. and it was really cold so we all curled up in the bottoms in our sleeping bags trying to stay warm ..and we all drift off to sleep

... to be continued :)
