Pursuing Education
Posted On 08/19/2008 21:31:33 by MtheK

Hello again, the summer is winding down for us, and school will be starting soon, I'm homeschooled, and I love it. I have a better outlook on this year, and the nightmare about a schoolbus pulling into our driveway to pick me up has left, so here I go.

I won't hold another opinion against anyone, but I believe that homeschooling gives me more flexibility in pursuing education, and it also allows me to spend more time with my family. I have been thinking more recently about what career I want to pursue in particular. I have never really settled on any, and I've been thinking on this off and on for a good 3 years or so. I've asked kids in and out of my age group what they want to do when they grow up, the classic gradeschool question. I have probably heard only one or two who had any idea, and I think if I'm going to pursue an education, I should have a certain career in mind. Mom, what do you think?

I thank God for my mother who is so willing to homeschool me. Something you may find ironic is that she used to be an english teacher in the public school system. I have been homeschooled since the 5th grade. I'll open another blog later about how we came to homeschooling.

I only hope so. I'm glad that there's so much we have to learn in this life.

I was talking about my education based on my career choice. After that, I can pursue other interests. -I suppose I could pursue them now as well as later though.
