I have had so many signs and answers to prayers that it is hard to remember them all.

Here are a few...

I was about to lose my car and was told by the finance company that they could not wait til the end of the week when I would get paid to pay it

I had placed the letter of reposession in my BOM and I prayed all during my lunch hour. I had been defeated and I would not resort to the trickery suggested by my co workers. I sadly walked back into work and hugged my BOM to me with a small prayer and then.... My work phone rang and it was them?? ( They have never called me at work) It was a very nice lady who had seen my file and decided to call me to accept my proposal. I was elated!! I cried so hard and my co worker was like "WOW !! Prayer works!!"

Another time we did not have the money to pay our house payment and I prayed and my mother in law who pays our house payment for us so it gets paid ontime, told my husband that we could skip this week due to we had enough money from the last time we paid....

One other time was when I was so worried about our finances that it was making me sick and I joked that the only way we could get caught up was if my ex husband paid the child support...

Well....it got paid twice that month and he only pays me once a month....

One Time I was low on money and needed gas to get to work and I found 10.00 at work under a chair. (I'm the only one who works in here and I knew it was not mine.) I asked if anyone had dropped anything and everyone replied "No".

There are others but I can't remember them right now

I am hesitant to comment on your post because it's obvious these were very serious matters that troubled you greatly.


However, I decided to post because I think it's important to keep things in perspective.


While you were praying for help with your very troubling money issues, there were other people out there desperately praying for that man to stop raping her, or a young girl begging God to make her daddy stop beating her.


There are so many terrifying situations where people pray for help, but do not get it. People become severely ill and disabled. Some people die before they should have. Teenagers lose their way and end up prostituting themselves.


My point is that while I am sincerely happy for you, other people have prayed just as fervently and desperately as you, and nothing happened.


I'm not saying that means prayer does not work. I am an atheist, so I don't understand prayer. But I am convinced it works as I have so many friends who derive great comfort from it. So please don't think I am dismissing your prayers.


Just keep in mind that there are people in horrific situations desperately praying for help, and nothing is happening.
